The association that is a driving force and establishes engineering as a highly desirable career aspiration for women. SWE empowers women to succeed and advance in those aspirations and be recognized for their life-changing contributions and achievements as engineers and leaders.

SWE at UPRM is a student chapter of the National SWE, which is divided into 10 regions. We belong to the Region D (Southeast Region). Our region covers Florida, Georgia, Alabama, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico. Also you can visit Puerto Rico's professional chapter here.

Our goals at SWE UPRM are to provide our members with professional and personal development activities, expose our members to companies for potential employment and professional networking and not only make an impact within our organization but also throughout campus as well.

Boys at SWE

Many think that our name says it all, Society of Women Engineers. But the reality is quite different, because within our organization personal and professional development is an opportunity available for all, no matter your sex, age or what you study.
